In 2001 she returned to Greece with aspirations for a
career in Oriental dance and started working in the first
and biggest oriental club of Thessaloniki, “Orient”
where she remains to the present day.
Belly dance is known in all the world with different names : Belly Dance , Raks
Sharki , Baladi , Oriental Dance , Danza , Tsiftetelli , Dança Oriental , Восточный

She was born in Greece but in 1987 she moved with
dance at an early age, having the privilege to take
lessons with internationally renown teachers such
as Medina,Shahrazad,Aladin el Kholy, Prof. Hassan
Khalil, Hassan Affifi, Randa Kamel,Raqia Hassan,
Madam Nevien and others.

Lia’s style is classic Egyptian (Raqs Sharqi).
Her dance is elegant and expressive, and is characterized by her sensual presence and her
intense personality.
Presently Lia is choreographing group and solo dancers, she teaches classes and workshops
and is performing in Greece and abroad.
She has given innumerable performances in Greece
and abroad, some highlights amongst them are, at
the Megaro Mousikis Thessalonikis (November
2003), at Moni Lazariston with Mimis Plessas (May
2005), at the Thessaloniki Film Festival (2005) and at
the “Ya Salam” Festival in Brussels (March 2008).
In 2005 she is the proud receiver of the “Best
Oriental Performance” award from a major chain of
dance studios in Greece.
